'Sennestadt' is a suburb of Bielefeld with a unique history. 60 years ago less more than fields and forest could be found there. But after the second world war living space was short and especialy Western-Germany had to deal with a lot of refugees from former east-german territories captured by the Red Army. In that days - in the 1950s and 60s - 'Sennestadt' was build based on the most modern theories of architecture and two planning. It must have been a very attractive place for people. Maybe for some still it is. But time has changed, many former prospering shops are closed ore occupied by low quality discount stores and many windows are empty.
