Sunflowers are an extremely popular photo subject. This is certainly due to the fact that they are already so large. With most other flowers and blossoms you have to look very closely, you need knowledge in macro photography to photograph them technically properly and at eye level you can rarely meet them. Everything is different with sunflowers.

I am not really a great sunflower photographer. I like to look at them, but I have only rarely photographed them. But last Saturday evening I met some beautiful specimens in a field. Here are the results. I took the pictures with a wide angle lens, the Fujinon GF 3.5/ 30 mm R LM WR. Referring to the 35mm format, this corresponds to a focal length of about 24 mm. Normally you would probably go for a longer focal length, but I wanted to try out how the lens performs at short shooting distances.

Prints of the pictures are available in my online shop. If you want to visit the shop, you have to leave this website: www.farbenfrohebilder.de
