After visiting the 'Sparrenburg' on Saturday morning, I made my way to the 'Johannisberg' on Sunday. It is opposite the castle on a slightly higher hill of the Teutoburg Forest. The 'Johannisberg' is one of the most popular vantage points and accordingly a lot of photos are taken from up there. You can see part of the city centre and also the 'Sparrenburg' well. I have been there countless times and didn't really expect that this time would be a special opportunity for a picture. But in fact, the light mood at sunrise was very beautiful. The day was rather hazy and some snow was still lying between the vines on the slope.
