02/11/2021

A week ago, winter also really came to Bielefeld. We had the odd snow day in the weeks before, but since last Sunday it has been really cold and it has snowed a lot. For a few days, the roads were hardly passable and even the city railway stopped running.

The heaviest snowfall was on 7 February 2021. I fought my way through to the city centre on that Sunday morning. On foot, there was no other way. It was terrible and beautiful! Apart from me, there was hardly anyone else on the road and I was finally able to do what I had long wanted to do: photograph the old market in the historic centre of the city in the snow.

The photos were taken with the Fujifilm GFX 50R camera and the Fujinon GF 4/ 23 mm lens. Despite the bad weather, the camera did its job reliably.

Prints are available in my online shop. If you want to visit the shop, you have to leave this website: www.farbenfrohebilder.de
