The weather over the last few days has been very changeable. Rain, occasionally sun and mostly lots of clouds. It was actually too cold for May. But even puddles can be used photographically.
I went to the old Ravensberg spinning mill (Ravensberger Spinnerei) and took some photos there. The building dates back to the time of industrialisation in the 19th century. Back then, Bielefeld was a centre of the textile industry. A lot of flax was grown in the surrounding area, which was then processed in factories in Bielefeld. Today there is no longer any flax cultivation and most of the textile factories have also disappeared. The building of the old spinning mill now houses the adult education centre and the city's history museum.
