So far I have used the Fujifilm GFX 50R and the Fujinon GF 4/ 120 mm R LM WR OIS Macro mainly in the Botanical Garden in Bielefeld. And as it is the case in botanical gardens, the flowers there are usually nicely lined up in a row and are easy to see and therefore easy to photograph. In the last few days I have been out in nature with my camera and lens to take pictures of spring flowers. Here are some of my results.

Regarding the handling of the camera and the lens, it can be said that the size and weight must be taken into account when putting together the equipment. The combination weighs considerably more than a normal 35 mm full frame camera. It already needs a very stable tripod and especially a good tripod head in order to work comfortably. I only use Gitzo tripods from the Carbon series. As a tripod head a model from FLM was used, here together with a macro adjustment slider from Novoflex. What the lens is unfortunately missing is a tripod ring. If you look at the range of macro lenses, you will notice that most of the models lack this feature. It is not really comprehensible, as specially in the close-up and macro photography, a tripod is often indispensable. There is nothing to criticize about the image quality of the Fujinon GF 4/ 120 mm R LM WR OIS Macro, however. The lens is exceptionally good. The only small drop of bitterness is that you need an extension tube for an image ratio of 1:1.
