We had a very nice September this year and I had some free days out of office. A good chance to take a photo, that you won't usually take on a Monday night if you have to got to work on the next morning. The location for this picture was a suburban country road close to a little lake ('Obersee' in Bielefeld).

My hometown doesn't have a big zoo, but what we have is a small 'Heimat-Tierpark' called 'Olderdissen'. Entrance is free and so it is very popular with the local people. It's one of these typical places were grandparents go with the families children on Sunday afternoons. I can't remember my first visit, but it must have been in the early 1970s. One of the major attractions at 'Olderdissen' are two lynx named 'Lea' and 'Hannes' and of course each year their kittens. Just cute!

Macro work: A small inconspicuous flower in nature - quite beautiful at a closer look. Seen and photographed at my hometowns Botanical Garden.

I have added a new gallery to the Urban & Cityscapes section: Performance! The Gallery shows three performing arts events. 'FireBirds' - photos 1 to 5 - at 'Stadtwerke Bielefeld' from summer 2005. The parade at 'Christopher Street Day 2011' in Bielefelds city center (photos 6 to 15) and 'KlangSchicht', a music performance of the 'Bielefelder Philharmoniker' which took place in an old power plant building in August 2006 (16 to 20).

The 'Kesselbrink' is a big place in the city center of my hometown (Bielefeld, Germany). Many years the 'Kesselbrink' served as the central bus station, a car parking and the location for a weekly market. And it really wasn't a spot, worth going there and staying - quite ugly! Now it has been rebuild.

In September 2008 I have spend three weeks on a holiday trip to Vietnam. This gallery - also part of the 'Travel' section on this website - show some of my impressions of this beautiful southeast-asian country.
